Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to course enrolments purchased through this website. We want you to feel confident enrolling, so our policy is simple and fair. Please read it together with your enrolment confirmation.

The short version:

• Cancel 7 or more days before your cohort start date — full refund.

• Cancel within 7 days of the start date — we move you to the next cohort at no charge.

1. Full refunds

You are entitled to a full refund of the course fee if you tell us you wish to cancel 7 or more days before your cohort’s start date.

2. 14-day cooling-off period

As your purchase is made at a distance, you also have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase during which you may cancel for a full refund — provided your cohort has not yet started and you have not accessed the course materials, recordings, or live sessions. If you ask us to begin sooner, or your cohort starts within those 14 days, the cooling-off right ends once the course has begun.

3. Within 7 days of the start date

If you cancel within 7 days of your cohort’s start date, we will move you to the next available cohort at no extra charge. One free transfer is included per enrolment.

4. After the course has started

Once your cohort has begun and you have accessed the live sessions or materials, the fee is non-refundable. Every session is recorded and made available to you, so missing a live session is not grounds for a refund — you can catch up on the recording and pick up the next session.

5. The Microsoft exam voucher

Where your enrolment includes a Microsoft certification exam voucher, the value of that voucher is non-refundable once it has been issued or redeemed, and may be deducted from any refund otherwise due.

6. If Cotec cancels or reschedules

If we cancel or reschedule a cohort and the new dates do not work for you, you may choose either a full refund or a free transfer to a future cohort — whichever you prefer.

7. Exceptional circumstances

If you experience a genuine emergency (for example a medical emergency) that prevents you from attending, contact us — we will do our best to offer a transfer or, at our discretion, a partial refund.

8. How to request a refund or transfer

Email info@cotec.uk with your full name, your order or receipt reference, and the cohort you enrolled in. We will confirm receipt and let you know the outcome.

9. How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method, normally within 14 days of approval. Payments and refunds are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Depending on your bank, it may take a few additional days for the funds to appear.

10. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy affects any statutory consumer rights you may have under applicable law.
